"Named after a certain naked protestor, Godiva gets to work sending a message to your hair. Our vegan, 2 in 1 shampoo bar conditions your hair follicles with moisturizing nut oils and Shea butter to care for dry, processed locks and leave you with glossy, shiny, and softened tresses. Long used as a tonic for the hair and scalp, jasmine also perfumes your locks with an ultra-sexy fragrance with serious staying power." - link
I keep my solid shampoo bars in the tins that Lush sells. This way, they won't melt or break down in the shower. I do find that the tins can be a bit difficult to open up, so I try to remember to open them before I start my shower. I've been really impressed with Godiva, it lathers really easily, just like a traditional liquid shampoo. I will either rub the bar in my hands, or directly onto my hair. I do find Godiva to be conditioning, and my hair is left soft and smooth!
These solid shampoos will last you much longer than a bottle of liquid shampoo. I've used my bar at least 20 times, and it still looks the same size as when it was brand new! Godiva is $11.95 for 55g, and since this bar will likely last you a few months, this is a great price.
Godiva is quite scented, but I enjoy the scent. The jasmine in Godiva is beautiful, and not too overbearing. I find that this scent lingers in my hair for a few hours. Definitely give this a sniff in stores before you commit to it!
I've been really happy with this shampoo bar, and I was surprised that it's been able to keep my hair soft and conditioned, even in the cold winter months! My hair feels nourished, and easier to style. If your hair is feeling dry, brittle, or damaged, I would recommend checking out Godiva. It's worked great for my hair!
Have you used a solid shampoo bar before? Would you be open to trying out a product like this, or do you prefer the idea of a liquid shampoo? :)
